My name is Vicki and I am the breeder behind Ozarks Bassets located in Poplar Bluff ,MO. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence , We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful , healthy family pets.                    Why did I start breeding: My passion for Basset Hounds began in the 1990s, my family always owned and raised and show purebred dogs but mainly Collies, Giant Schnauzers and Cocker Spaniels. Once, at the dog show, I met the deep gaze of an unusual dog, it was sitting so solemnly and proud but at the same time, gentle and affectionate, it was Basset Hound. The look of it impressed me so much that I told myself that one day I would owned one . 

What Makes my program special?                              After acquiring more experience over the years of showing the dogs and meeting other breeders and breed lovers, I discovered more knowledge and love for breeding, raising, and showing Basset Hounds. I love my Basset Hound hobby and feel hounds will not disappoint other breed lovers.

Because of its gentle, non-confrontational nature, the Basset can be used for hunting in packs or alone.
